An update from the chipmunk
I got my wisdom teeth out yesterday. I was very glad to have Zach and Whitney here to take care of me, becasue it certainly wasn't pleasent. Now it's just swollen and annoying, but at least i have an excuse to eat a lot of ice cream.
that was the second time I've been put under this month. I have spent more time in doctors offices in the last two months than I have in hte last 3 years. Between dentists, camp physicals and breaking my right thumb it's been constant trips to south lamar where all the doctors are. All the doctors have been really nice though.
The x-ray guy and I are friends now. We talk about hiking and the mountains. He has a few sons that he takes adventures with, last time he was showing them snakes and he got bit. seemed silly to me. I told him I felt silly going through all the trouble of surgery and stuff for a silly little thumb, especially when we sast a guy with a broken wrist and a broken elbow on the other side. I fugured he was in a bad car accident, I just can't catch a softball. It made me fall a bit better to know that the injured guy in his 40s was actually skateboarding though.
I'm taking a two week class right now. Literacy in the interediate grades. My teacher is so sweet and cute, I mean I seriously want her wardrob. I've grown to love cute teacher clothes. And since next semester i'll be in the classroom two full days a week I need to expand my clothing options.
My other classes ended well. I almost got all A's for the first time, but I was a few points away in math becasue the teacher doesn't give partial credit on tests, and we can't use calculators. I wish I had actually learned my multiplication tables and such in elementary school. Oh well, I have no real reason to complain. This semester stressed me out and it's noce to have grades that reflect the work I put in. If only I could have also had a social life. Oh well, only 2 semester left.
Wyldlife ended well. I'm gonna miss my 8th grade girls a lot. They are wonderful and have been such a blessing in my life. I have enjoyed getting to spend time with them and i'm pretty sure I will frequently kidnap them next year. But, the upcoming 6th graders are amaxing and i'm so excited to get to spend time with them next year.
Whitney, Sierra and I are still looking for a place to live next year. It's all still up in the air, but hopefully we won't be homeless.
Over mothers day weekend I went to Chapel hill to spend time with Zach and his family. His mom is the greatest. She's gonna be a nurse at camp this summer so get excited. We went wedding dress shoping and it was really fun with her. I met my mom and sister in the mountains and we looked at places to stay and found the place where the wedding will be. Homewood on May 19th, 2007. It was frustrating at times, but in the end It was really good to talk to my mom about wedding stuff and other stuff too.
On saturday i'll be returning to the mountains. Sierra and I are driving there together. I'm so excited. Camp, finally. It will be wonderful. I miss my girls, and my friends. I can't wait to be back at Merri-Mac "the happiest place in the world" (that's what my highschool friends always called it) But I really am incredibly joyful there. yay.
Life is good.
